NEW SERVICE:
Behavioral Health Visits!

Want to accelerate your dog’s learning? Save time? Take a break from your high needs dog? Give your dog something to do while you’re away at work that will benefit their overall behavior?

Behavioral Health Visits

This is a direct trainer-to-dog home visit that is individually tailored to what currently best benefits your dog and their behavioral health and wellbeing.

It’s a great way for me, a certified trainer, to work directly with your dog to build on the skills you’re already working on, and get you some relief for a little bit, especially if we’re working through behavior challenges.

Possibilities include:

  • Foundational skills strengthening
Pattern games, relaxation protocols, recall, confidence building.

  • Behavior therapy
Using therapies such as The Play Way, BAT 2.0, desensitization and counterconditioning, I will work with your dog to help them feel safe and secure and create positive associations with their environment.

  • Decompression walk
Not your basic neighborhood walk! I’ll take your dog to an enriched open space on a long-line and let them sniff to their heart’s content. This has infinite benefits to your dog’s behavioral health.

  • Enrichment activity
Not sure where to start with enrichment? I can set up a Free Work session, introduce them to canine nosework, or provide any activity that they love to do.

Dogs who would benefit from this service:

  • Adolescent dogs  (6 months—3 years)

  • Dogs who freeze, focus, bark, or lunge at other dogs/people/environmental stimuli on leash

  • Dogs who display fear or nervousness at any environmental stimuli (dogs, people, cars, noises, etc)

  • Dogs who have a hard time relaxing on their own or calming down, even after they’ve had physical and mental exercise

New client prerequisites for this are:

  • Initial virtual behavior consultation ($225) which includes a detailed follow-up and plan

  • One in-person lesson ($175) to observe your dog and teach the humans useful exercises/games

For your dog to get the full benefit of this service, I recommend scheduling on a regular or semi-regular basis. This isn’t a magic-wand, it is meant to be a collaboration alongside you to support and strengthen the cues and practices you’ve already introduced to your pup with my help!

Investment: $125 / 45 minute visit

Service area: South Park (neighborhood discount!), Georgetown, White Center, Highland Park, Beacon Hill
